Cupid’s Final Attempt.

As the tips of her wings
brushed past crowds,
Individuals would feel a
Rush.
A burst of energy
That would make them melt,
Into that one person,
Who makes their heartbeat faster.
Makes them hold on,
To that one person,
Who makes their smile, and life,
Worthwhile.

Lovers kissed around her,
Eyes shut, lips open.
She watched, smiling.
But deep inside,
Her heart was
Bleeding.

One more arrow left,
One more heart to heal.
In the Silence of the Night,
Cupid pierced her heart.

Her final attempt,

At Love.
